Scotland’s Rural College – SRUC was formed on 1 October 2012 by the merger of Barony, Elmwood and Oatridge Colleges and SAC (Scottish Agricultural College).

The SRUC Epidemiology Research Unit (ERU) based in Inverness plays a leading role in helping to progress the development of animal health and population medicine both in Scotland and beyond.  It has a leading role within the Scottish Government funded virtual Centre of Expertise on Animal Disease Outbreaks (EPIC).
An opportunity exists for a postgraduate in science, who wishes to progress in an administrative route and is interested in the interfaces between science, stakeholders and government policy, to join the existing multidisciplinary ERU team.
This project administration role will be fundamental to the success of EPIC.  The post-holder will be part of a team providing administrative support for and help co-ordinate the network of EPIC researchers within eight groups and six Scottish Institutions and help promote synergy with other linked projects. There will also be a role within the EPIC module on Knowledge Exchange.
You will have postgraduate training/experience in science - preferably a PhD. You will also be able to demonstrate some experience of administration. Experience of working in agriculture or biological sciences will be a distinct advantage. Further details are available at the website referenced below.
The salary will be in the region of £27,660 - £32,465 pro rata per annum.
This post is fixed term until 31 July 2016 in the first instance.
